WE WERE CRAZY!
MATT GLENNON picked his way through the debris of Town’s defeat and declared: “We made a catalogue of mistakes.”
The in-form keeper picked the ball out of the net three times before Town stemmed the Swindon flow – and he was not a happy man.
“It was a crazy half hour – and it cost us,” said Glennon, who had conceded only nine goals in the previous 10 matches.
“We started badly and it got worse. Very disappointing.
“There were a catalogue of mistakes from the first minute until they scored their third goal – then we decided we were going to take hold of the game.
“Once we got our first penalty, there was only one team in the game, so it was very disappointing not to get anything out of it.
“I would say we are all upset not to take at least a point, especially having played against nine men for the final 15 minutes.”
So is that the end of Town’s play-off ambitions?
“We need to win 10 out of 13 games, so it’s still the same, it’s still a tall order,” answered the keeper.
“All we have to focus on is going down to Orient on Saturday and winning. Simple as that.
“Our cup run this season was great, but we want to do much better in the league. To be up there, though, you’ve got to be winning on Saturdays and Tuesday’s and we aren’t doing it enough.”
