The Welsh side, beaten 4-2 at Northampton on Saturday, have taken just one point from nine since their 1-0 win at the Galpharm.
“We have a great opportunity with four games in 14 days to get back to our level of performance,” said manager Roberto Martinez.
“There is great competition in the side and we are going to use that.
“We’ve got 30 points to play for and if we play as we did in the last hour at Northampton we’ll be ourselves and if we play like the first half hour, it’s not going to be accepted.”
Southend boss Steve Tilson has admitted that the injury to defender Charlie Mulgrew is a “big blow” to his side.
The 22-year-old, who is on loan from Wolves, pulled his hamstring during Saturday’s 2-1 Galpharm win over Town.
Blues boss Tilson said: “It’s a big blow for us because he gives us that balance on the left-hand side with a bit of quality.”
Anthony Grant, who came on as a substitute on Saturday, and Lewis Hunt are expected to push for a starting place in Mulgrew’s absence.
