New date for Wolves showdown

TOWN’S away reserve match against Wolves has been put back 24 hours to Wednesday, April 23.

The Pontin’s Holidays League Central Division fixture will take place at AFC Telford’s New Bucks Head stadium with a 7.00 kick-off.

The second-team trip to Bradford had already been put back to Wednesday, April 16 (7.00) to avoid a clash with Town’s rearranged League I Galpharm derby against Leeds the night before.

Town’s other outstanding reserve games are at Port Vale on Wednesday afternoon (2.00), at home to Nottingham Forest on Wednesday, April 9 (7.00) and at home to Leicester on Monday, April 28 (7.00).

John Dungworth’s side sealed their first win in 14 attempts at Oldham on Wednesday, when Danny Broadbent grabbed the game’s only goal (17min).

After today’s FA Premier Academy League game at Manchester City, Town Juniors have three further matches, Bolton at Storthes Hall next Saturday (11.00) then trips to Stoke (April 12) and finally Middlesbrough (19).
