I wasn’t sure I’d scored says Mirfin

DAVID MIRFIN needed teammate Andy Booth to tell him he’d recorded the 12th goal of his career.
The 22-year-old scored Town’s consolation in stoppage time, bundling home an Andy Holdsworth free-kick.
Centre-back Mirfin had been playing up front since replacing Luke Beckett in the 63rd minute and admitted: “Given the result, the goal didn’t mean much.
“The free-kick came over and myself and Reuben Hazell both lunged for it.
“It hit me, but I had my back to goal, and it was Boothy who told me it was mine.”
It was Mirfin’s first game in six after a back injury picked up during the 3-2 defeat at Swindon.
