Hoyle in two-tier selection

CHAIRMAN-elect Dean Hoyle will be part of a two-tier interview process for Town’s new manager.

The 40-year-old who joined the club’s board today will have a big say on who will be the next team chief.

It’s likely a series of initial interviews with the top six candidates will start next week, with Hoyle – who will become Town owner and chairman after next season’s centenary – stepping in at the final interview stage with current chairman Ken Davy.

I understand caretaker manager Gerry Murphy, who is the club’s director of football development, will also be part of the Town’s interview team in the selection process.

While a shortlist has been drawn up, Town are still not ruling out people who may apply in the next few days.
