Middleton says fans so happy

MARCUS MIDDLETON reckons news of Town’s new ownership couldn’t have come at a better time.

One of the leading lights in the Fight For Answers fans’ group, Middleton says he’s “ecstatic” at top businessman Dean Hoyle’s emergence as chairman and owner by 2009.

And with news of season-ticket price cuts expected tomorrow, he believes it will provide an additional boost to sales for the club’s centenary campaign.

“Ken Davy has done what he’s done, but he’s had to spread himself between football and rugby,” said Middleton.

“Now we have a man who appears to be a genuine Town supporter fully focused on football.

“Supporters will be delighted at his pledge to put in some money for squad strengthening and by what he had to say in last night’s Examiner about his reasons for getting involved.

“I’m personally ecstatic about such an exciting development, and coupled with the expected season-ticket offer, let’s hope we can get back to big crowds cheering the team on to success next season.”
