Booty pledge

MARTYN BOOTY will assess his options this summer after leaving Town yesterday by mutual consent.

The 36-year-old coach, based near Holmfirth, explained: “I’ve got a couple of months to sort out what I’m going to do. It would be great to stay in this area because we are settled as a family, and obviously I’ll see if something comes up in football.

“If not, then maybe I’ll try something else, but I know I’m good on the training ground so we’ll see what happens.”

The former Leicester, Southend and Chesterfield player has been with Town for five years. He was one of Peter Jackson’s first signings after administration in 2003 and moved into coaching after that first promotion season.
