Town rapid retail units to ease matchday congestion at Galpharm

TOWN are to install two new matchday shops at the Galpharm Stadium.

Termed rapid retail units and situated at each end of the ground, they will carry a selection of official club merchandise.

With more than 16,000 season-tickets sold for 2008-09, the idea is to relieve pressure on the existing stadium store.

One unit will be called after club legend Andy Booth and the other The Cowshed after the popular covered enclosure at Town’s old Leeds Road ground.

Town’s director of business development Sean Jarvis explained: “Having 16,000 season-ticket holders for the new season will obviously increase traffic on a matchday.

“Although we would still encourage people to get to the ground earlier starting in August, the introduction of these two rapid retail units will ensure all our fans have the opportunity to buy official merchandise.”
