“Whoever plays, we’re likely to have a tough test, because there’s a strong squad at Bramall Lane these days.
“But we’ve got something to prove after Saturday and we know we can play an awful lot better.
“This is a great kind of game to be going into, because they will bring a lot of fans and there’ll be a great atmosphere.
“A good performance will put us back on track as we prepare to go to Millwall on Saturday.”
Town manager Stan Ternent is forced to make at least two changes to the side which began against MK.
New midfield signing Ian Craney is cup-tied after playing for Accrington Stanley in their 3-2 first round defeat by Wolves at Molineux.
And on loan striker Liam Dickinson doesn’t have permission from his club Derby County to take part.
Dominic Green, the 19-year-old left winger being linked with Town, would also be cup-tied, having played for Dagenham and Redbridge in their 2-1 home first-round defeat by Reading.
