League I transfers round-up:Bunn transfer is the biggest

THERE were no more incomings at Town before the transfer window slammed shut until January, but several other League I clubs did business.

They included Northampton, who will come to the Galpharm a fortnight today minus Mark Bunn, the goalkeeper sold to Blackburn.

The fee for the 23-year-old, who had also been tracked by Manchester City and Nottingham Forest, was undisclosed.

But Northampton, for whom he made 106 appearances, had slapped a £1m price tag on their prize asset.

MK Dons, impressive 3-1 winners at Town two weeks ago, when they handed a debut to French midfielder Flavien Belson, signed a Spanish defender Miguel Angel Llera, who spent last season at Second Division side Hercules.

Southend snapped up veteran striker Dougie Freedman, who was loaned to Leeds by Crystal Palace last season.

The 34-year-old signed a two year contract at Roots Hall.

Southend also brought in Jean-Francois Christophe on loan from Portsmouth.
