Walsall moved up to fifth despite a goalless draw at Hereford, while Millwall slipped a place having been hammered 4-0 by MK Dons, for whom Sam Baldock scored twice, along with Sean O’Hanlon and Paul Robinson’s own goal.
Southend are up to seventh having beaten Yeovil 2-1, with the visitors hanging on after another ex-Town player Danny Schofield, who was later sent off, struck on 88 minutes to reduce a lead established by Lee Barnard (24) and Hal Robson-Kanu (86).
