Ternent, who had a face-to-face confrontation with the Leicester bench during the second half, said he was delighted by his side’s fightback as Gary Roberts (69th minute) and Liam Dickinson (77th) got it back to 2-2.

“I thought we showed great character to come back from being two down and it looked like it was going to be a draw, but they got a little bit of luck at the end,” he added.

“The lad (Dyer) slipped and the ball went up in the air and over Matt Glennon’s head, which was galling, but that said, it’s not a good idea to have to score four goals to win a match at home.”
