Ternent, whose side are 17th, praised Town fans in a season’s-best crowd of 16,212 (2,490 from Leicester).

“They were fantastic. If you have a go and try and pass the ball then I think they can see a bit of progress, and even though we have to be a bit more controlled, there were good things in the game.

“The only things wrong were the result and the official.”

Ternent was today checking on the extent of a hamstring injury suffered by midfielder Ian Craney.
