League I round-up

DARREN FERGUSON watched his Peterborough side climb into the League I play-off places by dismantling Town – then played down speculation linking him with Queens Park Rangers.

Manchester United manager Alex’s son is said to be on the radar of the West London club, who parted company with Iain Dowie on Friday.

But the 36-year-old Posh boss insisted: “Nobody at this club is going anywhere.

“We have a plan here, and we achieved the first part of it by getting out of League II last season.

“We’ve played 13 games in League I now and I know we’re capable of getting out of this division as well. I’m not saying we will, but that’s the aim.”
