Match report: Peterborough 4 - 0 Town
Oct 27 2008 by Dougie Thomson, Huddersfield Daily Examiner
PETERBOROUGH’S pace, power and precision was just too much for Town, piling on the pressure ahead of the home double against Yeovil and Crewe.
It goes without saying that after conceding nine goals in two matches on the road, Stan Ternent’s team must tighten up at the back.
They’ll have to do that against Yeovil tomorrow without the experienced guiding hand of captain Chris Lucketti.
Called in to replace the illness-hit Andy Butler, Lucketti will be serving a suspension after his sending off in stoppage time at London Road.
Preventing Craig Mackail-Smith from scoring an almost certain fifth Peterborough goal came at the cost of a straight red card from Midlands referee Andy Penn.
And the incident pretty much summed up a grim afternoon for Town and their 949 fans in a 7,064 crowd.
