Ternent says Town will push on after win

WE’LL PUSH ON!
STAN TERNENT is backing Town to build on Saturday’s 3-2 win against Crewe vowing: “We will get better, there’s no question about it.”
The manager watched Andy Butler (20 minutes) and Ian Craney (39) give Town a comfortable lead before a hotly-disputed Clayton Donaldson double looked like earning lowly Crewe a share of the spoils.
Keigan Parker’s first goal for the club with less than two and a half minutes left, however, gave Town only their second home League I win and while Ternent will be forced to re-jig his side against a Vale team who won 1-0 at Lincoln, he believes it could be a significant turning point for his side.
“Three points gets us up the table a bit and there is still a long way to go in this season,” said the manager, who will be without suspended duo Parker and Jon Worthington for the cup-tie and probably loan duo Liam Dickinson and Steve Jones, who may be needed by Derby and Burnley respectively later in the competition.
