Town's Parker on goal trail

“We’ve had a few games this season where we’ve got ourselves ahead and then let the opposition back in, so we know we’ve got to learn to kill sides off.

“But this win will give us a lot of confidence, just like the goal will for me. Now I want to stay on the scoresheet and help us get the wins which will carry us up the table to where we should be.”

Town are considering an appeal against Parker’s sending-off by referee Darren Drysdale, who came under fire from home fans in a crowd of 11,679 after Clayton Donaldson scored from two tight potentially offside breaks. Andy Butler (20) and Ian Craney (39) had given Town a two-goal lead.

Ternent will be without Parker and Jon Worthington (for five bookings) through suspension on Saturday and probably loan duo Liam Dickinson and Steve Jones.
