Dean Hoyle: Andrew Watson ‘should be applauded’
Nov 5 2008 by Mel Booth, Huddersfield Daily Examiner
ANDREW WATSON resigned as Town vice-chairman and left the club with a glowing tribute from Dean Hoyle
The 41-year-old Watson joined Town in 2003 as chief executive and became Ken Davy’s right hand man in 2006, after helping re-generate the club’s commercial activity.
Watson said: “It has been an honour to serve the club as a fan, as a young player for three years and as a director for five.
“I thank Ken Davy for giving me that opportunity.
“Ken, Dean Hoyle and the rest of the board have become great personal friends and that won’t change.
“I am now looking forward to going back to being a Town fan.”
