Dean Hoyle: Andrew Watson ‘should be applauded’

Chairman-elect Hoyle said: “I feel when Stan Ternent came in that Andrew put his neck on the line.

“In today’s society very few people are prepared to do that.

“It hasn’t worked out, but Andrew should be applauded for sticking with his initial thoughts and believing in them.

“As I said, it hasn’t worked out as we all hoped and Andrew has resigned on the back of it.

“But he has contributed greatly to this club and Huddersfield Town are better off for his involvement.

“We obviously wish him all the best for the future.”

Watson was previously at Leeds Rugby League, Everton and Burnley.
