Town Juniors can win with right application

TOWN Juniors will rely on their professionalism and dedication to get them through tonight’s FA Youth Cup tester at Rochdale (7.00).

That’s the message from coach Graham Mitchell, who will mentor the team in the first-round clash at Spotland as well as assisting caretaker manager Gerry Murphy at senior level. Chris Howarth will step up to take on greater duties in the Academy at this time.

Mitchell has studied reports on Rochdale, who are looking for a fifth successive win under their coach, ex-Town player Chris Beech, and he is confident Town have the ability to progress providing they apply themselves correctly.

“We are very disciplined in the Academy and work extremely hard,” explained Mitchell.

“No-one could ever fault Huddersfield Town’s Academy for not doing their best and if we show the application and professionalism which we’ve got, then we’ll have a good chance of going through.”
