Examiner sports comment: Hoyle's enthusiasm to stop the rot

TOWN must find a new manager this time who is going to last the course.

That’s the primary objective for chairman-elect Dean Hoyle because there has been too much chopping and changing over the last decade.

Fans will be delighted that lifelong fan Hoyle is promising to back the club for years to come as he prepares to take over as chairman from Ken Davy.

But Town need stability on the playing side, too, from a team chief who is going to build an attractive team which can, in the not too distant future, win enough matches to establish a challenge on the Championship.

Lots of names have already been thrown into the melting pot – some from prospective candidates and others just pure speculation – and the fact that Hoyle has stated Town could pinpoint a target who is already in work brings forward a number of interesting and intriguing possibilities.
