Two sucker punches really hurt us: Macca

GARY McALLISTER is confident he can raise his beaten Leeds side for tonight’s FA Cup first-round replay at League I rivals Northampton.
The Elland Road boss, whose side suffered a second successive 2-1 defeat against Town after going down by that scoreline in their Carling Cup fourth-round clash at Derby last Tuesday, said they created more than enough chances to have won Saturday’s derby.
“It’s very disappointing to have lost. We were undone by two sucker punches but in between we did all the pressing,” he insisted.
“Huddersfield have done a job on us and it hurts. It’s a quick turnaround before Northampton, but it’s the same schedule for both sides and we want to get through.”
Leeds dropped to sixth in League I as rivals Millwall, MK Dons and Peterborough all went above them with victories.
Millwall substitute Dave Martin secured a 1-0 win against Stockport with a thumping free-kick.
