Match report: Town 0 - 1 Leyton Orient
Nov 26 2008 by Dougie Thomson, Huddersfield Daily Examiner
With Jim Goodwin, back after his one-match ban in place of Jon Worthington, spraying passes around the pitch, Gary Roberts showing plenty of industry and Danny Cadamarteri injecting some power and pace after coming off the bench in the 51st minute, Town really should have capitalised.
But Orient – clearly improving after a sluggish start to the campaign – had kept five clean sheets in their previous six games and it was clear Town were going to have their work cut out after going behind.
Murphy’s plan was to catch the Londoners cold, but it was Matt Glennon rather than Morris who was left to pick the ball out of the net after a slick move from the visitors.
Adam Chambers headed on to Sean Thornton who beat the home defence with a lovely ball into the path of Boyd, who fired home from six yards for his ninth goal of the season.
Town tried to respond quickly, with Ian Craney shooting into the side netting and Goodwin driving the ball wide from distance.
