Luke Beckett on his time at Huddersfield Town

LUKE BECKETT was going back to the future today as he began what he hopes will be an enjoyable new chapter in his career.
The 32-year-old strike star was due to turn out for Gainsborough Trinity in their Blue Square Conference clash at Harrogate Town.
That was the venue where he made his first outing for Town after completing an £85,000 move from Sheffield United in the close-season.
The ex-Chester, Chesterfield, Stockport and Oldham player arrived on a three-year deal boasting 136 goals in 309 career games.
Six of those had come in a seven-match loan spell at Town early in 2005, and when he netted in the 1-1 friendly draw at Harrogate, it looked as if it would be the first of many more goals.
Beckett, who was born in Sheffield and served his apprenticeship at Barnsley, has been Town’s top scorer for the last two seasons, with 15 goals in 2006-07 and 12 last time around.
