Luke Beckett on his time at Huddersfield Town

But there were signs he was unsettled when he was linked with both Bradford and York during the close-season.
The influx of players under former manager Stan Ternent hardly helped, and after figuring just three times this term, Beckett agreed a contract settlement on Thursday.
Honest and likeable in equal measures, Beckett explained: “A lot of people have raised their eyebrows at my decision, but I believe it’s the right one for me.
“There are two main factors, a personal family reason and simply the desire to play regular football, which is what I love doing.
“I’ve scored a few goals for Town, but I think it’s fair to say it hasn’t worked out as I hoped it would – and I don’t blame anyone but myself.
“Every manager I’ve played under here – Peter Jackson who first signed me, Andy Ritchie, Stan Ternent and Gerry Murphy, have been great with me.
“They’ve all given me chances, but I haven’t been able to take them the way I wanted to and latterly, I’ve been unable to cement a regular place in the side.
