League I round-up: Leeds lose

LEEDS’ League I woes continued at the hands of Colchester as Leicester came from behind to beat Carlisle and maintain their two-point lead at the top of the table.

Gary McAllister’s men are down to eighth after squandering the lead provided by Scottish striker Robert Snodgrass in front of 19,625 at Elland Road.

Dean Hammond, just before half-time, and Mark Yeates (66 minutes) struck to give Paul Lambert’s men victory.

The defeat was Leeds’ fourth in a row, but manager Gary McAllister, who saw David Prutton red carded, insisted: “We just have to keep going, and when things turn for us, we’ll be okay.”

Carlisle, Town’s hosts on Boxing Day, went ahead 27 minutes in against Leicester through Danny Graham.
