"We were getting a bit stretched, their full-backs were getting the ball too easily and we had to stop it, so we switched to 4-4-2 (from 5-3-2).
"Once we stopped their full-backs dictating the game, we started creating chances again and the breakthrough goal soon came.
"Nathan’s goal was a little bit scrappy, but there’s no such thing as a bad one, while Gary’s came from some fantastic football.
"He showed great movement, which we know he’s capable of and which we’d like to see more of."
Clark also praised teenage goalkeeper Alex Smithies after a second successive clean sheet, saying: "We’re lucky to have a player with such great potential on our hands."
