Clark and Hoyle thank Huddersfield Town faithful

BOTH Lee Clark and the man who appointed him thanked Town’s vocal fans as the new boss enjoyed a winning start to his Galpharm career.
A crowd of 13,070, only 214 of them supporting the visitors, saw goals from Nathan Clarke (70 minutes) and Gary Roberts (77) seal a 2-0 home victory over Hereford.
It was Town’s sixth success in seven League I matches and kept them 10th in the table, just five points adrift of the play-off places.
“The crowd were superb,” said Clark, who along with new assistant Terry McDermott, first-team coach Derek Fazackerley and performance coach Steve Black, was given a rousing pre-match reception.
“We need to make the Galpharm a fortress, and the fans can definitely be our 12th man. It was a great turn-out for the Saturday before Christmas and the backing was brilliant from start to finish. I’d like to thank every one of them.”
