Clark and Hoyle thank Huddersfield Town faithful

Chairman-elect Dean Hoyle, who installed Clark as manager 12 days ago, said: “I’m chuffed for Lee.
“You could see at the end of the game that there is already a bond between the management and the players, and that will grow.
“I think the supporters sensed it as well, and they played a crucial part in what was a hard-fought win.
“The atmosphere was as good as I’ve known it here, and the fans remained patient, which was great.
“Credit to Hereford, because they came here to spoil our party, and they gave it a really good go.
“I thought we were a bit nervy, and we’ve probably played better than that and lost.
“But we also produced some lovely phases of passing football, and we scored two goals and didn’t give any away to get the right result.
“It’s a great way to start the Christmas period, and now we have three really big games – Carlisle away on Boxing Day then Scunthorpe at home on Sunday and Oldham the Saturday after. Bring them on!”
