WE’RE READY FOR BATTLE!
LEE CLARK aims to put some local knowledge to good use when Town aim for a fourth successive win at Carlisle on Boxing Day.
The 36-year-old, who was linked with the Cumbrian club after they parted company with John Ward in November, takes charge of the Galpharm side for the second time.
He’s desperate to build on a 2-0 debut defeat of Hereford by guiding his 10th-placed charges to a seventh victory in their last eight League I games.
And he believes eliminating the negatives from Saturday’s performance will be crucial in the first of two games in three days (Scunthorpe visit on Sunday).
“Carlisle is the only game in our minds at the moment, and the players are in good heart after Saturday’s win,” said the manager.
“We’ve reviewed the performance and picked out some areas where we can improve, and our training has reflected that.”
