Clark demands reaction to defeat

Clark hinted he could give starts to Phil Jevons and Danny Cadamarteri after praising their contribution from the bench at Brunton Park.

“They have come on and made an impact in both my games in charge and they’ve certainly played their way into my thoughts,” said the boss, who switched from 5-3-2 to 4-4-2 after Carlisle’s second.

“I was actually going to bring them on in any case, and it’s a shame they got the goal and lessened the chances of us turning the match around.”

Scunthorpe come to the Galpharm in fourth place and fresh from a 3-0 home win over Hartlepool.

Grant McCann, Gary Hooper and ex-Town loan man Paul Hayes scored for the Iron, who had former Town defender David Mirfin on the bench after his recovery from injury.
