LEE CLARK believes Town’s lack of decisive finishing was the only downside to the 1-1 derby draw with Oldham.
The Galpharm manager, optimistic on Andy Booth’s recent progress after back surgery and linked with Bury striker Andy Bishop in the latest round of transfer speculation, rated the performance against John Sheridan’s fifth-placed Latics the “most complete” of the four so far under his stewardship.
Despite the failure to force an eighth win in 10 League I games, Clark said of 10th-placed Town’s first draw since the goalless home stalemate with Yeovil on October 28: “I cannot be disappointed.
“Over the 90 minutes, that was the best performance in my time at the club. They passed the ball well, played at a good tempo, and are getting fitter. We are getting towards the pace I want to play at.
