Huddersfield Town's Jevons: I'd trade goal for 3 points

PHIL JEVONS looked back on his first goal of the season in Town’s 1-1 draw away to Northampton and admitted: “I’d have traded it for all three points.”
Town leapfrogged Leeds to go ninth in League I but were left kicking themselves after conceding a stoppage-time equaliser against a host side reduced to 10 men by the 74th-minute dismissal of Jason Crowe for a professional foul on Gary Roberts.
Adebayo Akinfenwa left Town’s 1,038 fans in a 5,110 Sixfields crowd deflated by striking two minutes and 20 seconds into time added on.
And Jevons, who scored direct from free-kick in the 65th minute, said: “You would have expected us to see the game out and we’re all disappointed.
“But when we get over that disappointment, we should take confidence from this performance because we played well and created good opportunities only to be undone by what for them was a lucky break.”
