Huddersfield Town's Holdsworth: Carry on climbing!

ANDY HOLDSWORTH says Town will head to Leicester on Saturday confident they can carve out the win which would make the rest of League I sit up and take notice.

Lee Clark’s side climbed to eighth, just four points off the play-off zone, by beating Swindon 2-1 in front of 13,414 (298 away fans) at the Galpharm.

Simon Cox’s stoppage-time goal for Swindon, who had centre-back Patrick Kanyuka sent off in the 65th minute for a professional foul on Jim Goodwin, took a little of the gloss of Clark’s third victory in six games at the helm.

But captain Holdsworth believes there was enough in a performance which featured goals by Michael Collins (in the 51st minute) and Andy Butler (60th) to suggest Town can mark their first visit to Leicester since 1996 with a three-point haul.

“It’s a great game to have coming up,” said the right-back.

“For most of us, it will be a first visit to what looks like an excellent stadium, it will be a big crowd, with plenty of our fans there I’m sure, and it’s the kind of match you want to play in.
