Huddersfield Town boss hails travelling support

TOP marks to the 283 Town supporters who turned out at Yeovil on Tuesday.

And well done to stewards at the always welcoming West Country club, who offered them the chance to swap a place on the soaking uncovered away terracing at Huish Park for a seat in the stand.

The commitment and vocal backing of the travelling faithful, both in Somerset and at Leicester last Saturday, when 3,202 headed down the M1, didn’t go unnoticed by boss Lee Clark.

“The fanbase here was a big factor in me taking the job,” said the boss.

“And I certainly haven’t been disappointed by the support, which has been superb, both in numbers and attitude, ever since I arrived.

“It was great to see so many at Leicester and also at Yeovil. It’s a long journey, and with the game being in midweek, it took real dedication to be there.

“Myself, my staff and my players are really grateful.”

Town’s next trip is to Bristol Rovers a week today.
