Huddersfield Town's Williams wants three points from Pools

ROBBIE WILLIAMS helped Town collect a fourth win in five home games under Lee Clark against Peterborough, then roared: “Let’s make it six when Hartlepool come tomorrow.”

Town stayed 10th in League I as Michael Collins’ well-taken 35th-minute goal gave them a 1-0 victory over Peterborough, who slipped from third to fourth.

But after a match watched by 14,480 (642 away fans), left-back Williams was quick to note: “We’re only six points off the play-off places, and that’s a gap we can close.”

Town bounced back from their away defeats at Leicester and Yeovil with a gritty display and a first clean sheet in six, and Williams added: “It was a great result for us, and after looking like we might have skipped out of the play-off chase, we’re right back in the mix.

“Peterborough are tough opponents, but we deserved this win.

“We were the better side in the first half, and fully deserved our goal, and while we had to fight hard when they stepped things up in the second half, we got there in the end.
