Crewe manager full of praise after defeating Huddersfield Town

CREWE manager Gudjon Thordarson was full of praise for both sides after Alex’s 3-1 success over Town at Gresty Road.

“Both sides wanted to win the game and I thought it was a great advert for football and for League One,” said Thordarson.

“It was very entertaining and a credit to the division.

“They gave us a hard time at the beginning but we got our way into the game and I felt we produced a good all-round performance.

“The spirit among our boys is excellent and I think that showed. They are ready to commit themselves and work hard – that is a key element.”
