Huddersfield Town boss: I feel for our travelling fans

TOWN boss Lee Clark is hoping that his side can give something for the fans to shout about on the road.
The 3-1 defeat at Crewe was witnessed by 1,506 travelling supporters and Clark, whose side’s next outing is a trip to Stockport County next Saturday, was determined that Town should banish the awayday blues.
“It is tough because the support at Crewe was magnificent,” said Clark.
“I feel for the fans because it is about time we gave them something to shout about on their travels.
“Our decision making at times cost us the game, but I cannot fault the commitment of the players.
“Along with the supporters, the players and the coaching staff are very disappointed.
“It is a tough one because, as I said to the players after the game, we are two different teams at the moment in terms of our performances at home and our performances away.
“We will go back to the training ground, but ultimately we have to start winning games away from home.
“I keep saying that and the players know it, and if we are going to do anything this season then we need to put that right very quickly.”
Town took the lead on the half hour as James Berrett plundered his first goal of the season, but a Byron Moore strike brought Crewe level before half-time and two goals, from Tom Pope and Clayton Donaldson, around the hour mark put Alex in the ascendancy.
“Even when we took the lead we were not doing as well as I had hoped,” said Clark.
“They had been able to create a few chances and we weren’t doing the job as I expected.
“I keep saying to the defenders that their job is to keep the opposition down to a minimum amount of goals – preferably zero.
