Huddersfield Town to face Coventry City in pre-season test
Apr 28 2009 By Doug Thomson
Coventry are currently 17th in the Championship having completed their home schedule with Saturday’s 3-2 defeat by Watford.
They had two players – keeper Keiren Westwood and left-back Danny Fox – in the PFA divisional team of the season.
Meetings with Town have been scarce since the early Seventies, with only a League Cup second-round tie in September 1977, which the then-top flight Sky Blues won 2-0, and a pre-season friendly in Ibiza in July 2005, which Coventry won 1-0, on the list.
Clark’s link with Corby comes through their chairman Peter Mallinger and the Town boss added: "We’ve known each other a while and I’m delighted at the success they’ve had. It will be a good early pre-season test for us."
