Lee Clark hoping Norwich pull off their own Great Escape

LEE CLARK is hoping former club Norwich pull off a great escape from relegation to League I tomorrow.

The Canaries, where Clark was assistant manager before taking over the Town reins in December, have to win at already-doomed Charlton to have any hope of avoiding the drop.

They must then hope Barnsley are beaten at Plymouth – all matches kick-off at 1.15 – and Clark admitted: “It’s a tough ask, but where there’s a chance, there’s hope.

“I’ve nothing against Barnsley, but I have an association with Norwich, and while I would like to go back there, I’d rather it was in the Championship.”

Galpharm fans would certainly welcome the return of derby fixtures against Barnsley, who won promotion via the 2006 play-offs, when they beat Town in the semi-finals.
