MON AM: Huddersfield Town after Coventry City striker - reports
HUDDERSFIELD Town are rumoured to be in the hunt for Championship striker Robbie Simpson..
The 24-year-old striker Coventry City striker is reported to have been the subject of interest from Town according to newspaper reports in the Midlands.
Town are said to have made an offer for the player along with newly promoted Peterborough United, who were also rumoured to be in the hunt for Tranmere midfielder Anthony Kay along with Town.
Although he has been in the Sky Blues side in recent weeks, reports say plans to strengthen the team’s attacking options mean he is not guaranteed regular first-team football at Coventry.
Simpson joined the club from non-league Cambridge United and as a result is believed to be on relatively low wages compared to his team-mates.
