“Playing in League I last season opened my eyes to the quality of the division a little bit and I enjoyed scoring the goals I did.”
At 5ft 9in and 10st 3lb (65kg), Birmingham-born Robinson will bring pace to Town’s frontline in a 2009-10 campaign which starts against his old mates at Southend, down at Roots Hall, on Saturday August 8.
Manager Clark said: “Theo did ever so well at Southend United last season.
“Although he missed a good opportunity against us in our game with Southend towards the end of the season, I was still very impressed with his overall performance.
“He scored 16 goals for Hereford in League II and nine goals in 21 starts for Southend; I would hope that with the opportunities our team creates he can increase that goal ratio.
“He is still only 20 and is very hungry for success in his career. His goal ratio is around one every three games at the moment but he is still learning and we will work with him on the training ground to ensure he continues to improve.
“For all the ability he has now, there is a lot of scope for further development and that fits in with the club’s strategy of looking longer term as well as short term.”
