Huddersfield Town's Novak and Denton to get time to 'step up'

LEE NOVAK will be given time to adjust to the rigours of full-time training as he steps up from the Blue Square North to League I level.
And Town boss Lee Clark insists Novak’s fellow striker Tom Denton will also be given the chance to prove his worth.
The pair will both face their former clubs on Saturday, when Clark sends equal-strength sides to Gateshead and Wakefield for 3.00 kick-offs.
Clark has high hopes for Novak, 20, whose goals helped fire Gateshead to promotion from the Blue Square North.
The capture of the Geordie for an undisclosed six-figure fee on terms through to 2012 was completed in January.
But the player was loaned back to Gateshead, who had signed him from Newcastle Blue Star last September.
He finished the campaign as 26-goal top scorer in the entire Blue Square North and Clark said: “Lee’s a natural finisher.
“He has experience of full-time training as part of Gretna’s academy set-up, and Ian Bogie, who is a man I know well, manages Gateshead in a very professional manner.
“Lee has been living in Huddersfield for a month, and he’s nicely settled in the town, but inevitably, training full-time will be a change for him.
