“I believe I’ve got a group of players who can match any side in this division, and if we continue to play the way we have been, we’ll win more than we lose.”
Town lost out to Izale McLeod 49th-minte header after Anthony Pilkington had wiped out Sam Sodje’s eight-minute opener direct from a 39th-minute free-kick.
“We were done by two set-pieces, and dealing with them is a vital part of the game,” said Clark.
“When you don’t defend them properly, you get punished, and while we played every so well, we left without any points.
“We made errors for both goals, but I feel for the players because overall they went about their jobs well and deserved more from the game.”
