IVORIAN winger Anthony Moura-Komenan is still training with Town as he attempts to land a Galpharm contract.
The 23-year-old Olympian played in Tuesday’s reserve clash with Middlesbrough and will work with Lee Clark’s squad as they prepare for Sunday’s big League I derby at Oldham Athletic (2.00).
The manager is also keeping close tabs on returning midfielder Tom Clarke as the Boundary Park trip looms.
But striker Robbie Simpson is still not ready to make a comeback as he fights to recover fully from a thigh problem.
Moura-Komenan, a free agent after parting company with French club AC Ajaccio, produced a busy 85 minutes in the totesport.com League clash at Emley.
And according to Clark, who brought the player in after a tip-off from old Newcastle teammate Antoine Sibierski, he’s been eager to impress on the training ground as well.
