“We will need that sort of strength to help us through the season and it’s the strength of the squad which leads me to believe we will be there or thereabouts come the end of the campaign.
“Everyone is determined to keep their place in the side and all those lads who are not getting a shirt at the moment are just as determined to force their way in.
“It’s a great situation to be in for the club.
“All those of us who are in the team at the moment are delighted to be playing and earning our money, because we know that if we let our standards slip somebody else is waiting in the wings to take our place.
“If that happens, you could find yourself sitting on the bench for two months and I certainly don’t want that. I had to have a very patient wait at the start of the season, so now I’m in the team I’m going to keep working and working.”
Referee tomorrow is Michael Oliver from Northumberland. He took charge of Town’s 1-1 home draw with Bristol Rovers last season.
Two seasons ago, he sent off Robert Page when Town lost 1-0 at home to Swansea.
