Huddersfield Town skipper: We are going to Leeds United to win

Peter Clarke

"We’ve got some great players at this club and we also have some experienced heads, so we certainly won’t be overawed.

"We’ve shown enough times this season what we’re about, and if we tighten up on the slips we made against Tranmere, then I’m confident we can get the outcome we all want."

Town winger Anthony Pilkington is available after coming through Tuesday’s Tranmere clash without reaction to the thigh muscle problem which kept him out of the FA Cup second-round win at Port Vale last Saturday.

Leeds’ Argentinian striker Luciano Becchio is set for a start after coming off the bench in Leeds’ last two games, the 1-1 FA Cup draw at non-league Kettering and 2-0 League I win at Oldham.

Becchio is back to full fitness after almost two months on the sidelines with an ankle injury.

Boss Simon Grayson is also likely to restore 14-goal top scorer Jermaine Beckford to the starting line-up after resting him at Oldham on Tuesday.

Australian international defender Patrick Kisnorbo is also pushing for a return after a knee injury.

Town’s totesport.com League East Division reserve clash against Leeds at Elland Road on Tuesday afternoon has been postponed because of United’s FA Cup replay against Kettering that evening.
