Former loan man Martin Kelly’s praise for Huddersfield Town

Town remain hopeful of regaining Kelly’s services at some stage.
Assistant manager Terry McDermott – a former Liverpool player himself, of course – explained: “You never know because he’s the type of player who needs regular games, and he’s probably too good for reserve football now.
“He’s in the Liverpool side primarily as a centre-back but we played him at right-back on numerous occasions and also left-back, and he was quite comfortable wherever. That can only be good for his career.
“I believe he could be a real star. He’s still got a lot to learn but he can only get better.”
Meanwhile another former Town loan player, Everton striker Lukas Jutkiewicz, is impressing at Motherwell, where he has scored six times in 13 appearances.
The 20-year-old, who failed to notch in seven outings for Town last season, was on target in last Saturday’s 2-2 Scottish Premier League draw with Dundee United at Fir Park, when he came up against former Galpharm teammate Danny Cadamarteri.
Life North of the border hasn’t been as successful for ex-Everton player JP Kissock, who trained with Town over the summer.
He has been released by Hamilton, who also have ex-Town striker Lucas Akins on the books, after making only three appearances.
