Huddersfield Town scorer Lee Novak: We should have beaten Leeds United

LEE NOVAK believes he and Jordan Rhodes can fire the goals which lead Town to promotion from League I.
The up-and-coming strikers were both on target as Lee Clark’s side battled their way to an impressive 2-2 draw in their derby at leaders Leeds.
Novak notched his seventh of the season in the 48th minute and top scorer Rhodes his 14th in the 78th.
Town twice came from behind, cancelling out strikes by Robert Snodgrass, in only the second minute, and Max Gradel, in the 66th.
And Novak, who loved the atmosphere generated by a bumper 36,723 Elland Road crowd, said: “That performance shows just what we’re about as a team.
“I was devastated both times we went behind, but we kept our heads and I thought we were the better of the two teams and should have won.
“I thought we had done when Anthony Pilkington’s free-kick hit the bar late on, and the spirit and character the lads showed to twice battle back was unbelievable.”
Former Gateshead player Novak added: “Scoring in a game like this was an incredible feeling.
“Nathan Clarke knocked the ball in and it took a slight deflection and sat up perfectly for me to head in.
“It’s been a great 12 months for me, helping Gateshead win promotion then moving here and getting established in the side.
