Huddersfield Town's Anthony Pilkington: We must improve

“You could say we had a bad day at the office, but there’s been too many of them, and we have to hit back quick.

“It’s good that we have another game so soon, and this is a big, big spell, because with four successive Tuesday night games coming up, we have a great opportunity to climb the table.

“The lads showed down at Yeovil that we can make the long trips and win, so why not do the same at Brighton?”

Of his goal against Carlisle, Pilkington said: “I don’t get many with my head, and it was nice to see it go in. I had another good chance near the end as well, and really I should have put it away to clinch a win.”

Brighton are battling to escape the relegation zone under Uruguayan boss Gus Poyet and picked up a point from a 1-1 draw at Leyton Orient.

But like Town, they will be annoyed it wasn’t all three after leading through Glenn Murray, only for Scott McGleish to level.
